Joe Satriani Plans to Have Chris Martin Served Legal Papers at the Grammys

Guitarist Joe Satriani is still pursuing a lawsuit against Chris Martin and the band Coldplay, claiming that "substantial original portions" of his 2004 song "If I Could Fly" were used for Coldplay's hit single "Viva La Vida." He is seeking compensation plus damages. The only problem is, no one has yet been able to serve the British band with the legal papers required for the suit. That might soon change.

If Satriani's lawyers plan it out well, the Coldplay frontman who so snobbishly refuted Satriani's claims in December 2008 will be officially served at this year's Grammys. Oh, and they're also planning to tape the ordeal for posterity...
